Today, I thought of something I'm going to apply to any discourse I am involved in: Violence begets Violence. All the rights we fight for were taken from us, violently, in one way or another. So make sure that they won't do it again.

A personal thread:
1. Don't Lecture, Educate.
No one likes to be Told what to do... instead, try reaching out to explain and teach people why certain systems and behaviours are harmful to others.
2. Be respectful
When people are treated with respect, they often return it. Respect doesn't mean you agree. It just means you're willing to accept the other person's dignity.
Skip if other person does not show respect.
3. We're all human
None but the most powerful people have direct influence over society, but that also means we all need to try and make the world we live in the best one possible.
4. Try to be mindful
We all know the struggles of identity, sexuality, and simply being human. So, when others attempt to explain things to you: listen. Safe Communities are formed by mutual respect and understanding... so try to be mindful of other people around you.
I was going to write more, but then I fell asleep. So I'll just add to this thread as time goes on.
