Daylight saving time is ending this Sunday and if u are like me it& #39;s truly the worst day of the year for mental health. Instead of contributing to the "lmaoo seasonal depression" meme-speak that ppl love to gag over...here are some things you can actually do to help yourself...
SCHEDULE THERAPY - Not tomorrow, not next week...TODAY. If you don& #39;t do it now imagine how hard it& #39;s gonna be when 5pm feels 10pm and your brain says "time for sleep, bitch" every second of the day.
AUGMENT MEDICATION - Every year I& #39;m always like "pshh I& #39;ll be fine" and then I spiral down demonic mental rabbit holes for two weeks while I wait for another appointment to double my meds. If you think you might need it, ask your doc NOW.
TELL A FRIEND - Lmaoo if you think you can do this alone you are wrong. Tell a friend, trust me—it helps disperse the burden and at least they& #39;ll understand why you& #39;ve been staring at your ceiling for 2 hours but are too overwhelmed to do anything else.
EXERCISE - Stfu, you have the time. It& #39;s the single most effective thing you can do to help yourself. Get off ur ass and take a walk, do SOMETHING. Force yourself.
RANDOM SHIT - Take vitamin D, fish oil, melatonin at night, and try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. Don& #39;t beat yourself up and try to be okay with things feeling a little more pyscho. Other people are feeling it, too.
Lastly, let& #39;s try to ban this garbage day. Ooo you get an extra hour of sleep one night in exchange for an entire season of your brain malfunctioning? Get out of here with that. No one likes this shit.
