in times of a deadly pandemic, i think we need to define a few rules of friendship that were logical before but are somehow controversial now, such as:

friends don't put their friends' lives at risk without their consent.
if you don't want to isolate, fine. but then give your friends and loved ones who are shielding a decent chance of avoiding getting infected by you. anything else shows a pretty blatant disregard for their actual literal life.
and I feel like if you're going to claim that you're someone's friend or that you love them, you should also value the fact that they are alive and do your best to keep it that way
