So we just boarded & departed & it went fast from there, 6 years is not a lot, but we did so much. Among the fondest memories are qualification of two students to the Games and opening of the school. There was passion, wish and now we have 4 groups of students on various levels
Students who advance, who want to learn, level is less important for me, but there should be this wish, this hunger to learn, to discover, be curious. Why did you accept the job of national coach/choreographer? This school was founded after Sochi where we didn't have any skaters
So I definitely wanted to support Swiss youth, discover talents, provide them with maximum competence. Swiss athletes now have this system of "credits" which they can spend to come and work here, and we also organize camps where we work on different topics (base, skating skills)
It's a good way to create the team energy. Is all this the reason why you don't perform now? First of all it's the situation with COVID which cut off the side of the shows, 'cause it's the first year since I started skating that I didn't make any show in more then 6 months(~10!)
It was strange to not being on stage, not having this chance to perform. I even spontaneously put my skates on during the show at the end of summer camp and showed the programs I prepared for Japanese shows. There this desire in me to be back on stage, in shows, I wait for this
..impatiently, to find the audience, but it's true that now I have a chance to use this time to work with students, to develop at max potential of each of them. So you didn't depart, it's just COVID? I can't wait for this moment when I can be back on the ice with the audience
