This is not the only emergency these communities are facing: COVID-19, increased violence and fighting, a growing economic crisis and food insecurity are ongoing issues.
The needs for medical care are increasing with a sharp rise in malaria cases.
We also fear outbreaks of other diseases.
Additionally, the high water levels resulting from the floods and the insecurity complicate humanitarian access to those in need of assistance right now.
