Many people think that a SC reversal of Roe V Wade will be similar to the restrictions that individual states put on abortion but it's much more dangerous than that. A reversal could mean that anyone who has terminated a pregnancy b4 this could then be charged with murder. 1/7

It also opens the door to questioning women who go to the hospital because of a miscarriage (see brazil). If it is suspected that she played a part in inducing the miscarriage, she could also be tried for murder. 2/7

This not only means that women going through a traumatizing experience will be questioned and looked at suspiciously, it will also prevent poor women and WOC from seeking medical care when they are having a miscarriage in fear that they may be tried and likely cannot afford 3/7

Or find representation for their defense. This also won't stop abortions. Wealthy women, and politician's mistresses will always be able to terminate their pregnancy because they will have the resources to do it discreetly and relatively safely. 4/7

For women who do not have those resources, they will be charged exhorbatant amounts by Dr.s who are doing 'back alley' abortions, or they will just induce miscarriage themselves which can be deadly if not done correctly. 5/7

People share stories of infants being left in garbage bins, or boxes in alleys, and this will only increase if abortion becomes illegal again. No woman makes that decision lightly, but many will have to choose between that or sharing custody w an abuser, 6/7

Being ostracized by their family and community, or facing a lifetime of poverty and depression for a child they never wanted. Women are more than baby machines, and by nominating ACB our gov. has shown us what they truly think of women in our society. 7/7
