In today's saga with Mom. Shopping for clothes.
83yo mom 2-3 weeks ago says she needs a bunch of new clothes for the winter. But she doesn't go out rn due to covid. So I say, we can just order stuff online. And she gets huffy and says she's never able to find anything online.
Okay we can work around that. We know the brands you like, we'll just find them online and order them.
I ask her what exactly she needs. She says everything. I say-knowing that she has 4 closets in her house that are all FULL of her clothes-okay, why don't you make a list.
Of how many tops etc that you want and we can go from there. She says
Today I'm online looking for a drone for the DH. (he isn't getting one. they are stupidly expensive) And notice that Amazon carries the brand of slacks she likes best. They even have her size! Woohoo, Mom is going to be happy.
I text her to let her know that they have the petites and she says those are too short. Even though that's what she bought the last 4-5 times we went shopping. I say fine, we'll get the regular. She says those are too long.
And then she says that Macy's used to have an in-between size.
She followed that up by saying she didn't need slacks anyway. I say, okay Mom, what do you need? She says she doesn't need anything.
Seems like after I asked her to look and see what she needed she went through her closets and realized that she has more clothes than she thought.
