THREAD: I’m delighted to see the new @scotgov Inward Investment Plan launched today by @Ivan_McKee, with a focus on ensuring we maximise the economic growth from our strong record in inward investment. It’s also pleasing to see a focus on key sectors which will be vital 1/4

for our future economic growth, such as #MedTech. The proposals on working with Scottish Universities to agree a collective approach to stimulating inward investment & innovation, including through the handling of IP, are particularly impressive & can play a big part 2/4

in supporting the next generation of of spin-out companies which will be vital if we are to succeed in our ambitions across a key range of areas, particularly within the #Tech eco-system. These plans chime closely with the recommendations in my report to the @scotgov 3/4

last year & it’s very heartening to see that this is an area of focus for @scotgov. This is a bold and ambitious plan for the Scottish economy which could have a big impact in our post #COVID19 recovery & I look forward to seeing the results in years to come. 4/4 END
