Also I always really want a closer look at Katie and Micah's DVDs and PS2 games

I definitely see Austin Powers 2 up there.

These are not good movies to watch during the day, after the fall equinox, with south facing windows, but also I had to start now so I have time to get through them all and also don't get as scared.

At this stage of my life my hatred of Micah just makes the movie better. It's still creepy but I got respect for the demon too and love for Katie too.

Tfw the demon shows up around 1:30 AM when usually it’s been after 2:00

Never forget that Micah's "I'm done" moment regarding dealing with a demon was BURNING A CROSS.

Cant even remember why my name is in that huge list on the PA DVD credits but I am just below Mike Flanagan.

On to PA2, I forgot how many characters were in this movie, just remembered that the dad looked like Paul Rhoads and there was one hilarious moment in the theater that's totally inappropriate.

The inlaws showed Micah how small security cameras could be 60 days before his death and he still bought that giant camera. #douchecanoe

PA2 ends so abruptly. It’s a fine sequel that advances things anyway, but I wanted more from it

On to Paranormal Activity 3!! I remember loving this.

Whenever I see a camera on a tripod in a mirror looking back at me with that red dot eye I feel like I'm playing Portal 2 again.

Still my favorite JK Simmons performance

The oscillating fan camera in PA3 is still my favorite found footage thing. Just marvelous.

The viewer is obviously a little comfortable viewing things through the stationary camera after 2+ movies, so a camera that we can't control obscuring things from us for a moment is just *chef's kiss*

They should know something's wrong with grandma when one of the beds in the bedroom is literally halfway into the doorway

Jokes aside, the payoff at the end of 3 is FANTASTIC. The setting is completely new and has a terrifying vibe, and it finally all means something. I geeked out so hard when I saw this in theaters.

Now the question remains, where the hell is Hunter? Clearly this series is not an epsiode of Raw from the early 2000s, we'd know if that was the case.

At this point the spine of the blu-rays for the series inexplicably goes from black to white. Maybe they're pointing out a new direction in the series, but it still bothers me too much.

The recap of the first two movies at the beginning of 4 reminds me that there were more than 20 hours between Katie’s actions at the end of 1 and at the end of 2. Wonder what she did in between?

The fake Andrew Wilson in this movie messes with me

And why the hell does the girl’s room have two exit doors on the same wall

Wait, the second door is another room? I’m so confused.

Paranormal Activity - cohabitation before marriage
PA2 - new step mom
PA3 - new step dad
PA4 - adopted son

Get married, stay married, have your own kids. You’ll be fine. Otherwise these are some Old Testament demons

Then again, the stepdaughter in 2 is spared entirely.

Everything in 4 looks a little too fake at times. Not the effects or anything story related, the actual casting and the sets. The mom especially looks like a commercial actress and/or porn star.

THAT SAID the final sequence has my second favorite scare of the series so far

Both cuts of PA4 on blu don't have the end credits scene that sets up Marked Ones? I thought I was crazy for a minute.

Gonna take a break after four straight PA movies but I would just like to say that I would die for Katie.

Ok let’s do The Marked Ones! I barely remember the last two so hoping this adventure will bring closure on the series for me

Pretty rare that a horror series has 5 R rated flicks and the fifth is when you finally see boobs

Anyway, I loved that movie this time around. The final act is insane. Easy to see why Christopher Landon went on to make a classic

FULL DISCLOSURE: There's a 50/50 chance the mac and cheese I'm about to eat for dinner has gone bad but if I'm doing a six movie marathon I'm gonna add a challenge to the final flick, just to test myself.

Don McManus just showed up to remind us this franchise is part of the Under the Silver Lake universe.

So they found the video camera from the past owners but this is clearly not the house from any of the previous films and I'm confused.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is a Christmas movie

Just so we're clear, PA2 is a prequel that ends after the first film's events, PA3 is a prequel to both, PA4 follows the events of PA2, The Marked Ones is after PA4 but ends at the end of the first film and The Ghost Dimension is after them all but refers to the events of PA3

Honestly I want this franchise to reboot with a non-found footage movie investigating the events from the whole thing. Like, make The Ring, but about the events of these flicks.
