Since focus is on short people today,
This is an important message:

If you are a lady that is short,
Especially if 1.57m or less,
You have a very high risk of needing a Caeseran Section operation to deliver a baby when/if you get pregnant.

There’s a reason for it.
Pls read on/
The reason for this is because short/small women tend to have a small pelvis. The challenge with a small pelvis is it may be too narrow for baby to pass through.

If the mother/doctor tries to forcefully give birth through the vagina, it can lead to death of both baby and mother.
This disproportion between the mother’s pelvis and the baby’s head is called “cephalopelvic disproportion” in obstetrics.

Pls ignore the fancy name.
The most important thing is that this medical issue can happen in small/short women as well as teenage girls if they get pregnant.
And this is exactly why a lot of young girls most especially in the north, when they get pregnant and try to deliver- they have many problems.

Some develop tears in their wombs, bladder and vaginas- later leaking urine from the whole damage done.

Nobody will tell you all this.
So what’s the way ahead?
If you are shorter than 1.57m,
Or if you are a “small” stature woman;

There’s no need to panic/worry.
Only make sure that when it’s time to deliver, have it in mind it may be through an operation.

IT IS ACTUALLY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. And for your baby too.
