Happy #XYZ4thAnniversary and #AmourshippingDay!

Pokemon the Series XY(Z) is very special to me as it is the series that got me back into Pokemon as a whole, and I just love everything about it. The characters, the pokemon, the amazing storytelling, it’s amazing.

I really love the direction they took Ash in this series, I felt his character was a direct transition from Best Wishes. In that series he admitted he wasn’t doing his best, so XY brought us back to DP when he was his best and improved further! (art by JKK liver on deviantart)

Clemont and Bonnie were welcome additions. Clemont had his nice developmental arc surrounding his gym and clembot. I loved the Lumiose Gym battle and everything leading up to it, as well as his scenes in the Team Flare arc!

Throughout XY you really do see Bonnie mature over time. She becomes more than just than an endearing kid, and that’s in part because of her relationship with Squishy. Still can’t get over her amazing scene singing to it in the TFA.

Serena has become my favorite character in the entirety of the Pokemon anime because of how relatable she is to me. I really resonate with the not being able to find a goal side of her, and seeing a character like that in my favorite show was really amazing.
