Assuming Ash’s only crime was cheating & lying about it, is that enough to cancel his allyship? Yes, cheating is emotional abuse & I don’t wanna downplay its effects, question remains, is it enough to cancel him?

Either way, I don’t care to defend a man even if all Ashwyn did was cheat & in the process lie & manipulate his partner.
I’m more interested in determining the boundaries bc many of my faves have been guilty of cheating as well, but I’ve never deemed it enough to cancel them.

And I only ask bc most of the tweets criticizing him on my TL have been based on the assumption that he cheated.
Yes, cheating is bad, but I’m not comfortable with us demanding the same consequences as perpetrators of SGBV. That to me takes away from the seriousness of SGBV.
