P.s: strictly based on my interpretation
'everythingoes' is predominantly a song of consolation n peak comfort that brings solace to tormented souls. It's the ultimate song of moral support, empathy n compassion which thoroughly brings out our concealed concerns n worrisome thoughts in the form of suppressed tear+
Drops, the song brings one, which is the literal definition of hopefulness, cheers n encouragement to go on in life, w/o giving up cuz the pain n sufferings isn't for ever to last, it all passes, it all goes- all of it expressed in a way only Joon can n I'm in love w Joon's mind+
The way I see it, 'everythingoes' in itself speaks a lot, everything n goes are placed adjacent in a way the last n the first letters have overlapped to combine the two words into one, exhibiting a continuous effect, but the word as a whole does come to an end, or simply passes+
The word in itself looks prolonged but it eventually ends: the pain n sufferings of life might look continuous, prolonged n never-ending, in a chain like fashion, Joon reassures that in spite of what it seems like, it shall all pass, it shall all finish or come to an end. The+
Way the 'title' of the track has been written in itself exhibits the idea of this comfort track in the most profound way. Joon opens the track by saying the most comforting words of all time, "It passes, someday, for sure, certainly" in a way only he can, to cool our agitated+
Nerves n to melt our souls, to let go of the pressure w/i n just listen to him saying the same over n over again, perhaps he repeats to ensure us of its legitimacy n validity, of its miraculous powers of the consoling. In a few simple words, he conveys a lot of emotions n hope+
W a few simple words, he is bringing people priceless comfort, by a simple words, he is hugging us tight enough for us to cry harder, in his musical embrace, as he listens to our grieves n calmly consoles us saying, "everything, everything everything goes", which is sung+
In the bg as Joon repeats, "it passes" multiple times. Joon shows that sometimes simple words can make a lot of difference, if carefully selected n properly said, they can become the reason for some to hold on to dear life, to constantly fight, to wake up to see the sun rise+
Joon projects the power of simplicity in combination w sincerity n solace, n how much of a saviour it can be. Drawing comparison here, of how the night leaves n morning comes, how the spring goes n summer arrives, he is indirectly stating how one thing gives way to another- the+
Night leaves for the morning to come, making the night a cause behind morning's existence, one season leaves for the other to come, for the seasonal cycle to continue, one season becomes the reason for another's existence hence one thing chances into the other: just like the+
Wilting of the flower that leads to the fruit formation which further ripens, everything goes thru changes n changes are, more often than not, rather painful, n its always pain that brings out the best in us- pain makes us cherish joy, pain makes our achievements meaningful+
Pain makes everything much more significant, if its associated w grieve and/or hard work , smth about which Joon mentions in 'moonchild', in simple words, he conveys that the idea "suffer to bloom" is an undeniable truth of life, n also a v significant phase. Joon tells us to+
"Embrace the world" n take a deep breath, like we often do before performing a tough task: this fight is of a life time hence we must take deep breaths to prepare ourselves for this battle. "Suck in a deep breath" could be a metaphor for accepting everything thats coming our way+
The good n the bad, "everything" the world has to offer to us, n deal w it all accordingly. He makes a ref to his past, foolish self who grew dull, trying to rush things up so they passed away quickly, but now, he understands better, n he prays for his constant improvement daily+
He lives- for another day, holds on- for another day, fights- for another, doesn't give up- for another day, cuz he now knows that nothing lasts forever n neither does pain, everything that once begins eventually meets an end. Joon wishes to convey the same to us, he wants us to+
Not give up, to not let go, to stay here for another day, n fight like before, he wants to ensure us that all of our episodes n series of pain n suffering shall pass someday, might be sooner, might be later, but they'll certainly pass, mayhaps he is reminding himself of the same+
Joon metaphorically uses "wind" for implying the unclear words of faulty encouragement n simple lies because these too, flow like wind- pass from person to person. To Joon, "saying to have strength" is v unclear as we, incl. Joon himself, are told to have strength but are+
Never told how to do the same, "it's all just the way things are" is a simple lie cuz things can be improved if tried hard enough. Joon goes on to say, how forever isnt even possible in dreams, which is v much true cuz we don't dream in threads, it hardly ever happens that we+
Dream of smth n a chain reaction begins there itself, n the dream goes on n on like a story n we see it unfold in our daily dreams like episodes of a never-ending series, he says that even in our dreams suffering isn't perpetual- dreams do become real often- so our pains are+
Sure to come to an end one day. Joon raps, "just like all these winds, that like the winds it will pass, I pray", he does smth really interesting here: the first "wind" refers to the wind of falseness n lies, the second "wind" refers to actual wind that blows due to pressure+
Difference. Joon wishes for our discomfort n torture to pass from our lives like the winds. He prays for our sufferings n difficulties to end gradually. "It passes" along w "everything, everything, everything goes" plays like a chant, a gentle reminder, a soulful reassurance+
A saying of comfort, brought our way. He hugs us while saying "it passes" repeatedly, comforting us, consoling us, calming us, understanding us, warming us ,n validating our torment, in every possible way, be it physical or mental. Joon mentions "rain" in the final verse+
"It rains, It rains, everything, passes": just like the rain washes away dirt n dust from nature, perhaps he wants us to let the rain wash away our pain. It could also be a possible ref to the next n final track of the album- as the title of the track is in itself written in a+
Rather continuous n extended way like the first word continuing into the next, he perhaps applied the same idea: ending of this track fading or transitioning into the beginning of the final track until the album ends, just like the word- 'everythingoes' n pain, do reach an end💜
In conclusion, w this song Joon wishes to reach out to us as well as himself, to let all of us know that the distress is temporary, that all of it shall pass, that all of it shall go away soon, he hopes we'd not let go in a snap, that we'd hold on, that we'd fight our collective+
Battles individually. He confronts us w imp truths of life, while hoping we'd seek constant improvement n advancement in life. Joon truly wants to pull us into his musical embrace, hug us tightly, listen to us, mourn w us on our sorrow, comfort n heal us in the best way possible.
KIM NAMJOON IS LITERALLY SYNONYMOUS W HEALING N COMFORT💜✨. HE IS A GENUINE SOUL WHO HAS TRULY TOUCHED THE HEARTS OF MANY OWING TO HIS LOVING N CARING NATURE.💜 HE IS A PERSON OF WARMTH, COMPASSION N EMPATHY WHO UNDERSTANDS US BETTER THAN WE UNDERSTAND OURSELVES💜✨💜✨
