A new @niknanos Research poll released today shows the negative impact of Covid19 on our residents, including financial problems, compromised mental health, and concerns about the increased risk of homelessness.

A new analysis by the Ottawa Mission of the health conditions and support needs of shelter guests shows serious mental health conditions and issues concern money management.

As we pass through the second wave of Covid19, the line between who is homeless and who is not is getting thinner all the time, with more people unable to maintain their housing or their mental health.

With winter approaching and the lifting of prohibitions on evictions due to Covid19, all governments must work together to ensure that homelessness in our city doesn’t get even worse.
