Shuake Thread: Why I don’t think the writers and creators are implying it and why I don’t think it would work (This is purely my own opinion you don’t have to agree and it’s not an attack on Shuake Shippers) To start I think Akechi is making a comparison instead of feelings?

Them being together in art doesn’t imply anything that’s like me saying the writers are implying Yu x Adachi which isn’t true. I’m not saying you can’t think it’s romantic but it isn’t And just because Akechi is interested doesn’t mean love and Akechi is more interested in Joker

I’m shitting on Shuake really I don’t think any of this implies “romance” Joker about the good time part was really trying to forge a friendship and as I said Akechi is curious and interested not in a romantic way but because did similarties also the Honey I’m home is sarcasm.

Joker’s Enraged? Doesn’t mean he has feelings he just likes how angry he is as well I feel Akechi (Before Shido and shit) generally enjoys Joker’s company as someone to talk to so I’m sorry if I don’t see any romantic implications. Also his Boss Monologue is more about his regret

About the smile part...I think Akechi was in conflict with his own ideals and so because during his confidant even the mini boss he felt excitement because he can relate to Joker the only thing he doesn’t have is friends. And wishes to become one I think it means atonement

And Joker understanding him doesn’t mean he loves him? He relates oh and Frenemy idk how it implies any romantic subtext it’s a shorten version of a Friendly Enemy or Rival as Chouno said and....how is Akechi thirsty for Joker??? Like what???

Maruki isn’t implying anything too he’s more of well I guess fascinated or curious to say about what they are because they are enemies who respect each other.

Ok saying “I’m alone right now” can be in any sort of context I could say that to my dad or Nan. And they would say like “You want to do something today” also I don’t know why it’s so funny that Akechi standing behind Joker implies something LMFAOO. (No harm to anyone)

This scene is sweet but again I think Akechi liked it when Joker sees him as a rival just as in the game maybe just to keep things interesting.

Ok and how does this make it CANON? I mean it’s fine if you like it or think it that way but really this doesn’t imply anything it could be Joker and Kasumi or well Ann. I think it was mostly them having a fun time together then it being in love.

This is simple to say but again. This isn’t showing any signs Akechi is just lightfully teasing them.

Any character can say this even Tanaka himself.

This conversation is just about Akechi again being interested in Joker because of similarities it’s not him venting his feelings it’s more about him taking an actual interest of becoming close friends.

I can’t believe Akechi is spitting facts and even acknowledging his toxic fans (This is a joke) and in this scene Akechi thinks Joker might have a fanbase or a following because idk he either thinks he’s like him or just cool.

The word Potentially is a left to be desired word or so I’m not saying it’s bad if you think Akechi has feelings and this thread isn’t to say Don’t ship Shuake or like the ideas. Who knows maybe he likes *SPOILERS* Sumire (Not likely imo idk). Akechi again sees Joker as a frenemy

Our Light/Bokura no Hikari (Which I’ll talk about more) Does imply Akechi potentially being missing but not about Joker’s Feelings if you see it in that context or so.

In the case of Jun in Persona 2 it is said or imply that he is Gay or Bi or so. But he is a romance option. But just because Akechi has SIMILAR LINES to Jun doesn’t imply he’s into Joker if even Jun wasn’t LGBT it wouldn’t imply it or so. But the game did imply it not Akechi.

Look. Just because they’re in Official Art doesnt fucking mean the creators are implying Shuake. You can take it as you wish but if they’re together it makes them gay?? Not really just because they are doesn’t mean it or imply and them playing Chess is because they’re having fun?

I might get this wrong but it was a thing in fenacing or so to give your glove or anything. Promises doesn’t mean romance it can be anyone who can give their glove to Joker.

Akechi I think doesn’t literally mean jt on the second and third photos. I think he was just joking around or being sarcastic with Joker since he’s in a Butler’s Outfit:
