We recently launched Level Up pages (content hubs) for each of our products. Here you can find a collection of articles relevant to that product: our finest content, recent articles or you can search by category. https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-migrate-db-pro/level-up/">https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-migrat...

Here’s a thread about how & why https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧵" title="Thread" aria-label="Emoji: Thread"> 1/13
We initially set out to solve an SEO problem. We had been consistently writing new articles for years. Like many blogs, each new article would go to the top of our Blog page. Over time, our blog grew to be 23 pages long! 2/13
What we didn’t realize was that this was hurting us. The older a post became, the more clicks a user would require to find that article. With click-depth being a ranking factor, we were putting all this effort into creating new articles only for them to drift into the abyss. 3/13
Not only was this bad news bears for us and SEO, we realized our readers would have a pretty annoying time looking through our articles. There wasn’t any order to it other than by date. So we set out to build hub content pages for each of our products. 4/13
We decided which articles would fit best under which product hub and then further classified them under various subcategories. Off the bat, this makes it way easier for a user to find an article they may be interested in. 5/13
Showing users our finest content and recent articles also gives a quick insight into the types of articles they can expect from us in that product section. 6/13
In terms of design, the main goal was to give these new Level Up pages a more stylized and premium feel over our original blog index page. We felt that this would convince users to discover and browse content by making them feel the pages had been carefully crafted. 7/13
We sought to achieve this by putting some real time & attention into all aspects of the page, from top to bottom. Everything from the branded headers, the custom category line icons and the styling of the cards contributed to the overall quality of these new Level Up pages. 8/13
Perhaps our favorite piece of UX design on this new page occurs when the user performs a search. Counters indicate which categories contain articles that match the user’s search query. 9/13
And in case you were wondering, this is what our old blog index page looks like… 10/13
We’ll keep our old blog along with our new Level Up pages but we’ll soon turn it into another hub with a fresh new look. This will further improve the UX & SEO - ensuring that wherever you land, you’ll have an easy time finding what you didn’t know you were looking for. 11/13
Have you ever reorganized your content on a large site? What did you find most important in terms of UX and SEO? 12/13
