Nambiar's character in Baba plays the most powerful role next only to the Mahavatar Babaji. Thread.

1. As Baba's maternal uncle, he understands Baba very well & strongly believes Baba is something special. Can understand this from opening scene.
2. He always believes Babaji will meet Baba & answer about the reason for Baba's birth. So he lets Baba enjoy his life in his own way despite tedious efforts by Baba's mother to bring Baba under control.
3. As a man who understood Baba & the reason of his birth very well & deep, he could've stopped Baba's mom from giving Baba's horoscope to the astrologer.

Though he had authority to deny, he ignores it. Probably, he understood its bound to happen.
4. First confrontation between Baba & his uncle.

Baba throws his anger & disbelief on God by linking the bad state of the society he lives in. Nambiar stays silent throughout without uttering a word. It ends like, Baba won the war of words.
5.1 Now, the second confrontation.

Nambiar knows Babaji met Baba & gave him mantras. Now, for the first time in his life, he started shouting at his nephew. He strongly speaks some sense about the existence of God.
5.2 Baba standing like a guilty kid shows he never experienced this kinda anger from his uncle, in his life.

Starts listening his words *very carefully than he did before Babaji.* This is where Nambiar's character proves its sheer influence on Baba.
5.3 Nambiar plays the same "society stinks!" card against Baba & asks him to use the mantra for welfare of people. 5th mantra is used & Baba realizes the existence of God aka Supreme power.

Baba's uncle departs in peace, after instilling God-belief in Baba.
6. Baba who didn't even believe the existence of God even after visiting the Babaji himself, started realizing when his uncle spoke some sensibilities.

If not for Nambiar, Baba might've ended up in a vicious cycle of reincarnating until he realizes the reason of his birth.
7. In real life, Nambiar helped Rajinikanth in channeling his spirituality as his Guru. Nobody would've suited the role of Baba's uncle, none other than 'M N Nambiar' himself.

One of the reasons why 'Baba - the movie' is an epic.
