People do not realize how important The Oil industry is. This is not just the oil that runs through our vehicles but the liquid black gold that runs the world.
Almost immediately after [45] took office we became energy independent. Something that was talked about for the last 70+ years. Since Nixon was in the White House, presidents have pushed national energy plans that, they said, would reduce the country's dependence on foreign oil.

Back to Wall*E. They show you in the movie our need to consume would eventual consume the earth. If you read the article above [45] is all for alternative energy but that does not mean making every car on the road full EV. That does not mean putting windmills in every high cliff.
This does not include lining the Nevada desert with solar panels. you see when we create these materials like what the Tesla battery requires. We strip the earth of its most precious minerals. Once they are mined and turned into their final product they can never go back.
We need these minerals and I am all for mining do not get me wrong. Its the question again at WHAT capacity. Oil is a renewable resource and with innovation our consumption can become even less as we have shown over time.

We are on the verge of the society they warned you about in this movie
Without the oil industry this is truly what we become. Instead of creating the next iPhone 72 I think its time we have the serious conversation about using those materials for better needs. From bringing electricity and water to those in the middle of Africa.
To helping billions living in poverty live a healthy and happy life with the essential needs they deserve. Water, Light and Life. These are things everyone deserves and our need for consumption here in the US has destroyed.
These countries enslave their own to feed our needs. That is how big of a problem we have here.
And for my Climate changers... Its time to grab your morning brew and wake up. We arent warming the earth with our vehicles and cow farts.
The logging industry is just as needed as the Oil and in far larger capacity actually. Now before we trigger anyone let me first state We 100% need to stop cutting down the Rainforest and in general I would like to see us kill FAR less trees yearly.
Now if we stop cutting down trees we have to answer for that. From Firewood to Paper to Pencils to building materials to houses the list for what we use in wood is actually amazing and its probably harder to replace than Oil. So how do we continue....

Hemp is one of the oldest domesticated crops known to man. We all know by now corn has little nutritional value and the amount we grow here in the states is astonishing.
Thanks to [45] and the farmbill we are growing more hemp today than we have in almost 100 years but we have a long way to go. By switching to a plant that is strong, grows in 6 month cycles rather than 20 years and has billions of industrial uses we can alter the logging industry
What do I mean by altering the Logging industry? We cut down far too many healthy trees every year. When in reality we should be going into the rainforest and California wherever and taking the fallen brush and deadwood.
With hemp replacing things like cotton we no longer need to cut down a 35 foot tree to make 1 - 6ft stack of newspapers....
We could instead build our houses out of product like Hempcrete, wood would still be needed but in far smaller capacity

The benefits of products we can create with Hemp are so much more than one would believe. From the clothing that gets better with age rather than deteriorating to Houses that just work better.... its amazing what we can do
By clearing underbrush we no longer have to fear of massive fire outbreaks as 20+ year old trees are much harder to burn. hence the photos everyone likes to blame DEW's on.
This is what happens. If you clear the underbrush fires will still start. But they will not rage. They will instead create new forest floors of the freshest nutrients for the trees to continue thriving...
