Last week @THR asked for a quote re: Barrett's then pending appt and it's threat on the LGBTQ+ community. Here's what I said in full.
"As a nonbinary, queer Black person,
I can only describe the need to control the civil rights of others as an abhorrent sickness rooted in one’s unhappiness with one’s own life. (1/6)
My marriage or security of my job should not be up for debate because of the orientation of my sexuality or the way I identify in my gender. (2/6)
Here we are drinking our water, and minding our own business, but Barrett and her cohort are so maniacal, so sick, and perhaps even jealous that instead of spending their time adding to the good of humanity, they’d rather use it to take away… (3/6)
...take away rights, justice, equality, equity, and freedom so that they can feed their own egos and prop themselves up on “power.” (4/6)
Terrorizing the LGBTQIA+ community by questioning our rights to marriage equality, protection from employment discrimination, and Title IX does not make you powerful, it makes you an asshole." (5/6)
I will add:

We got work to do and we will keep doing it! We will not let the rights of Black people, queer people, women, POC, or any marginalized groups be stripped away even more because of the evil intentions of a fucked up administration. (6/6)
