#Thread: Let's improve survival and well being of our kids.
Two days later, a teenager killed by security forces during clashes in Mand, a town near the Iranian border, has been identified as Mubashir Rasool, who was hardly in his 17. We are from the same impoverished village
He was such a well-mannered, sweet little boy; I am so heartbroken to see him having died at this age—that gentle kid was so afraid of the weapons when we used to go to nearby mountains to hunt birds.
Even more shocking to me at the time, such young kids who were once afraid of guns are becoming part of Baloch arm struggle. The state has miserably failed to devise a strategy to prevent these kids from joining armed militias.
They deserve a better life. It is time for kids like Mubashir to take part in sport than play with a gun. As a nuclear state, Pakistan must responsibly watch over its little citizens by providing them with free education and better opportunities and engaging them in healthy
activities instead of hunting and killing them. #Balochistan's security situation continues to deteriorate, while the armed conflict intensifies with daily armed clashes that are eating bright young Baloch and Pashtun children.
In this fight, the most affected are young teenagers like Mubashir, who are no longer seeing secure futures and better opportunities, thus joining militancy. Because of bad governance, corruption, and bleak security, teenagers like Mubashir, Chakar Rauf, and Hayat Baloch continue
to die,, sadly going unnoticed and unrecorded. Let us stand together to pry guns out of these tiny hands by providing them with a better, promising future. End! #Balochistan #BalochMilitancy #Baloch #balochistanrising #MubashirBaloch #HayatBaloch
