Only 1 in 10 white collar workers are out as disabled to their employers. I’m going to be another of that 1-pool.

We deserve to be able to access the accommodations we need, we deserve to put our incredibly unique skills to work- and to earn an equitable wage for said work. Disabled people are all around you- we just keep hush if we “pass”. The workforce is not accepting us otherwise.
This is a growing problem too- as #Covid_19 continues to ravage the US, more people will be left with long term disabilities. We need to get it together as a society and recognize the way we oppress disabled people all the damn time.
Even in nonprofit and progressive spaces. How often have you seen accommodations for people with limited mobility to take ownership and LEADERSHIP in movement spaces? Hint- it’s not at all common. We MUST do better.
