Emmanuel Ogbah has proven to be worth every single penny we signed him for. A thread:
A key part of Ogbah game is effort as you'll see over and over again. Here his role is to crash hard inside to create the open lane for a late blitzing CB. Somehow Ogbah still manages to create pressure and almost gets a sack
Here he's one of the 3 down lineman as we primarily run a 3-4. He completely beats his man to the inside position and blows this play up.
Again. Effort. Look at him damn near tripped team and still make the QB feel his presence
Here his intelligence shows as he recognizes the formation and let's the defense know that the run is most likely coming to the strong side (his side). He does an excellent job maintaining the edge against 2 and not letting the play get outside
Another almost sack where he keeps working and ultimately gets the ROI later on in the game
Same as last clip
The Jets eventually started to throw a tight end exclusively to his side and these were the results lol
After 3/4 almost sacks he finally gets first one on a play where it didn't initially happen for him but he continued to work and finally got the oh so elusive sack
This thread was a bit long but we'll worth it. Finally to close it his final sack. This play should be shown to the team as the direct benefits of effort. This play was all Eric Rowe but because Ogbah kept the effort going he was able to be rewarded with his 2nd sack of the game
Overall Ogbah showed he easily could have had 4 sack against the Jets. He has already gotten more sacks in 6 games with 5 than we had in our leading rusher last year. A great signing by Chris Grier
