A relative of ours showed up at church after +70 years of never walking in the lords house

I knew his personality very well

I been around men like him my whole life - Men like me

After the sermon he said-

“Wow, that was great”

I said back

“Hell yeah brother!!”

He cracked-

up cause I said hell.

Started looking around seeing if people heard me

See, I did it intentionally

Cause I know what it’s like to just be starting your walk with Christ

I wanted to express to him that I was still ME, a sinner- even at church.

Church folks love to play

You can feel the fake

But I’m that moment, he looked at me & winked said “I’ll be back again next week”

Understanding human psychology can lead so many people closer to Christ

I’m always looking for these opportunities

Some people will read this &

come at me.

Which is fine.... Because in the moment- When we looked at me I knew he felt comfortable being there. Sitting next to “someone like me”

I knew he’d be back- & then God could do what only he can
