That attack ad on Rishi Sunak is not very good for two reasons: 1) it makes his lifestyle look cool and glamorous, 2) it neglects to consider that there’s an absolutely huge constituency of “aspirational” Black and Brown Britons who would see this as a blueprint for mobility

The sooner left-wing people get to grips with the fact that aspiration and social mobility are some of the most dominant concerns of migrant groups and their children, the sooner they’ll understand how to adapt their programme and campaigning.

Look you never see me preaching social mobility and individual aspiration over collection action but fact is majority of our parents are still of the mentality that they came here for “a better life” so a BAME Tory’s wealth accumulation is only going to inspire them
