What I learned on my first day with going live on shopify

A thread
1. DOUBLE CHECK SHIPPING RATES

Learned this the hard way, I undercharged for expedited shipping and lost $7 of profit on one sale which is massive since profit of each item is ~$10.

Seriously, double triple check
2. It'll be slow unless you have super aggressive advertising

I ran one ad on a big instagram page and didn't get any sales for the first hour.

After an hour, I got 3 sales! So just be patient.

If you want more sales quicker, you could advertise more but that costs more money.
3. It takes time

You won't start off with a really good conversion rate or even that much traction.

I am inexperienced and I realized this is just my first day, 3 sales isn't bad and I am learning.

Shopify has many tools to analyze customer traffic so you can improve.
Just a short little thread about some things I noticed on my first day of shopify. Nothing ground breaking. I will be posting my later results with different adsets etc later.

Thanks for reading!
