cw // mentions of eating disorder

i don’t know who needs to hear this but as someone with an eating disorder, putting content warnings for food and drinks does not help. in fact, it makes things worse most times.
i have to retrain my brain to make it understand that food is not a negative thing. it shouldn’t need a warning. and every time i see someone use “cw / drink” for a tweet about tea or “cw / food” for a tweet that uses a photo of food, i have to work even harder to do that.
if the warnings are meant for another demographic, please let me know. but for everyone using them to “help” people with ed’s, please stop fucking doing it. it does more harm than good.
also this thread only goes for instances where the warning is specifically about food, in the general sense. NOT tweets that give a warning about food in conjunction with an ed. felt like that needed to be made clear.
