Republicans don't stop voting just because they got what they wanted--they just find new things to want.

I don't know why some other people apparently do. It's a weird, illogical, short-term way of thinking that causes us to lose every step of progress we make. https://twitter.com/fmanjoo/status/1320928657251024899
"Oh, abortion is finally outlawed? Great! Now we go after birth control. Oh, birth control is outlawed? Great! Now we make divorce illegal if you're a woman." And so on.
Meanwhile, it felt like "oh, gay marriage is legal now? Well, we're done with activism! Close up all the activisms." while I remember trans folks begging people not to throw in the towel after one major victory.
The only way this will work is if certain folks stop seeing politics as something we do once every 2-4 years, if we really care and can be bothered.

They need to vote in every election, whether they're inspired or not. They need to call their elected reps, regularly.
So many of you tell me "oh there's no point in calling MY reps, they're Dems" but then complain when your Dems don't do what you want. How are they supposed to know what you want if you don't call? I just??
Ok, I will put my phone down now and try to sleep.
