The news of Joey Moss's passing has hit me hard. My heart is broken for the Moss family, the entire Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton EE Football organizations, the players past and present that got to work with Joey, Joey's friends, and to the entire City of Edmonton. 1/5
I never had the good fortune to meet Joey, but from what I can tell, if you met him, you would remember it forever.

When I saw that Joey had passed, I honestly started bawling. It hurt. It's partly because of not only how great of a man he was, but what he represented to me. 2/5
He was a figure that transcends the Oilers. He was part of the Dynasty Days, the tough 90's, the incredible Cup run in 2006, the Decade of Darkness, the Joey Moss Cups, and to today's bright future. Joey was that one constant.

It's more than that though.

To me, he represented the goodness in people, the never give up and count yourself out attitude, the joy in just being who you were, and pardon my language, the I don't give a fuck, I am what I am, and proud of it, mindset. 4/5
He was the one person that all Edmontonians could agree on, as being one of the City's finest individuals. His passing is a huge loss, and one that hurts.

Joey will be missed. #RIPJoey
