Hi! I don't know who you are or if you've voted already, but if you haven't I just want to make a quick appeal. When you go to the polls this year, I want you to have the voices of your peers in mind. And what I mean by that is this: 🧵

If most of the people you know are *like* most of the other people you know -- in religion, race, ability, health, sexuality, gender, wealth, profession, or any other dimension -- now is the time to consider why that is, and whose perspective you're missing.

For the folks in my life, I end up often being the person to advocate in particular for Indigenous, disabled, LGBTQ+ and science/scientist perspectives. I would consider myself to be "in" two of those groups? But I make a point of keeping track of news...

...that isn't about me, but touches people I love. And I try to surround myself with people who do the same.
