to anyone confused as to why us moots are freaking out: our supreme court just appointed justice amy coney barret, to replace RBG, the woman who paved the way for equal rights for LGBT+ and women. justice barrett is the polar opposite and is openly-
-against LGBT+ and is very pro life. recently two justices have started to rey and motion for the appeal of oberhefell v. hodges, the case that gave the us marriage equality. and you only need four of the nine justices to approve a motion for appeal, and ACB makes-
-the fifth conservative sc judge. they will also most likely motion for the appeal of roe v. wade, the case that gave us the right to have abortions. women’s and LGBT+ rights are very much at stake and in danger right now.
if i see ANYONE tweet about being happy they don’t live here, i’m blocking. this is very much a terrifying time for all of us and no one knows how it will go.
