The official GOP position is “owning the libs”. The Democratic Party needs to grow the fuck up and get fucking real, or they risk losing whatever momentum they may win from next week’s election outcome.

If Cory Booker or any other Congressional Democrat ever utters anything about “working” with the Congressional GOP or “appealing to their better nature” they deserve to be shoved into a locker and fed through a straw. Bipartisanship in Congress is fucking dead. Act like it.

Bipartisanship can be found at the local level. We see it here in TX. But Congress is so utterly rotten, to its very core, and there is so much on the line at the federal level, that federal-level Democrats need to stop fucking around. This is not funny. At all.

The GOP learned long ago that politics is about power, and that when you have power, you wield it, unabashedly. They play the game. Democrats are the ones who have yet to catch up, determined to adhere to “rules” and “norms” that don’t mean shit and running on shitty marketing.

Democrats are king at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, being scared of our own shadows, and refusing to be “boastful” about gains we’ve made.

Obama himself admitted that he just assumed people would know that he was responsible for progress his admin made.

A Biden win next week can’t mean that we “go back to the way things were”. It must mean that we find a new way forward. To prevent us from ever ending up back where we are now, the Democratic Party must look within itself and ask itself how it contributed to this. Because it did.

The Democratic Party as an institution has contributed to the broken system we find ourselves in. The way it’s been run, the people it has and hasn’t invested in. Conceding before necessary and inaction counts. There are no days off now, folks.

Nobody wants to hear about what they did wrong when they’re up against a wall. I get it. But I’m a young black woman, in a red state, in America. So I will tell you about yourself, lmao. Y’all have *been* hanging me and mine out to dry since jump street.

Congress, regardless of the party in power, needs reform. But before we get there, Democrats need to learn to play ball. And we need to start paying closer attention to local politics, because maybe then we wouldn’t be so worried about a court having this much power over us.

I’m tired of watching people not get what they want and then circumvent the system in order to enact their preferred policy through the courts. This country is so broken, and a GOP void of morals and a Democratic Party void of spines got us here. This place is ass. Unwashed ass.
