I attended Notre Dame Law School while Amy Coney Barrett was a professor.

Her confirmation to the Supreme Court undermines the rights of Americans all across our nation.
Her previous opinions on discrimination, voting rights, and abortion are both out of step with our values and threaten established legal precedent.

Make no mistake, her extreme ideology will tip the scales of justice against women in this country.
Today — there are multiple cases making their way to #SCOTUS that could overturn Roe v. Wade and trigger Arizona’s felony abortion laws.
If Roe is overturned, there will be police in your doctor’s office, government surveillance of women’s bodies, and jail time for advertising contraceptives.

Your healthcare provider will now be focused on gathering evidence against you rather than treating you as a patient.
I have been unyielding that as Maricopa County Attorney I would exercise prosecutorial discretion and never criminalize women for their healthcare decisions.

Government simply does not belong in those intimate spaces.
Vote like your life and rights depend on the outcome of this election.

Because they do.
