Here is a thread about animals that I saw at the aquarium today, in no particular order

This is a smooth trunkfish! Usually, male trunkfish will have whole harems of slutty lady trunkfish. They use their ridiculous looking mouths to blow jets of water onto the sea floor to help uncover lil yummy snacks
This is a ruddy duck. I couldnāt get a very good picture of him bc he was very quick and I am very slow. Boy ruddy ducks have blue bills and I really like them a lot. Ruddy ducks lay the largest eggs of any other duck in the world.
Here are some roseate spoonbills! Iāve mentioned them before, you might remember. I am a big big fan! A group of roseate spoonbills is called a bowl and they are the only spoonbills in the world (out of 6) with pink plumage.
Hereās a diamondback terrapin. I like him bc he looks like a Dalmatian (he isnāt) and theyāre generally pretty little. Diamondback terrapins are thought to be the only turtle in the world that lives in brackish water- very exclusive lil fellas
These HYSTERICAL noodles are garden eels, splendid and spotted. They use disgusting mucus from their bodies to cement the inside of their burrows, which they seldom ever leave! They just sit there like idiots their whole lives! Lmao I love them!!!
This dumdum is a porcupinefish! As you probably guessed, itās a member of the order Tetraodontiformes (Latin for 4 teeth) alongside its other dumdum buddies, the pufferfish

Spiny lobsters use their antennae to make spooky rasping noises under the water to scare of predators and I like to eat them
This alligator is little

But this alligator was pretty big! Some male American alligators can grow to be 15 feet long! Please donāt feed them if you see them in the wild! It could make them aggressive and end up getting them shot by the gator police :(
Moon jellyfish live in groups called smacks lmao
These guys are my favorites. Theyāre Australian spotted jellyfish aka floating bell aka brown jellyfish aka white spotted jellyfish. Theyāre invasive in the Gulf of Mexico and kind of a hazard to certain populations of shrimp

Donāt see any fish? Look again! These ribboned pipefish hold onto sea grass with their prehensile tails! Although related to leafy sea dragons and seahorses, theyāre not the same. Theyāre much

Lion fish! Another invasive species in Florida, the FWC actually encourages people to āremoveā lion fish when they find them in Florida waters. Basically, you can just kill these guys by the hundreds with no permit and the cops do not care
@ahumblebunnie this oneās for you
the big dark ones are southern stingrays and the cutie patooties with the baby puppy face are cownose rays. Stingrays and skates, like sharks, are cartilaginous fish! No bones!

Sand tiger sharks, although ugly, are the only sharks known to come to the surface and gulp air. Theyāve got over 80 teeth and belong to the same order as white sharks

Well, I think thatās enough for now. Iāll bring this thread to a close with a picture of these two ringtailed lemurs hugging. I hope you learned something new that you can share with someone you love! Okay bye!
Everyone say happy birthday Ryder!
