Until you grapple with that question everything else is pointless. Why were these people drawn to this politics you will keep making things worse. Holocaust deniers thought Labour was their home FFS.

You decided it was no longer politically important or convenient to police the borders of mainstream politics. Because ultimately you needed nasty local enforcers to help with the project. Fuck the consequences.

It only became important when it became so much of a problem that you could no longer control the frickin beast. And even then you couldn't identify the core of the issue. Didnt want to actually deal with the problem with the hammer it needed because it would split the left.

I mean the lack of any awareness of what you unleashed onto British politics because of the inability to deal with the cranks your movement brought into the mainstream is fucking breathtaking.

The consequences will be long lasting. The distrust of British Jews from people on the supposed left will be exponentially greater today than it was five years ago because antisemitism wasn't challenged forcefully and immediately. It was left to linger like a stench.
