Dropped off my ballot today.
I usually vote a straight Democratic ticket, but I have voted on occasion for members of other parties (never President).

However, I vowed to never vote for a Republican again after I realized how much my taxes were raised to offset the costs of cutting the taxes of the wealthy and big corporations. But, I actually like my Republican Assembly Member. He's very responsive. So, dilemma...

I researched his voting record, and even though he is responsive to his constituents, he votes like a typical California Republican. So, I was going to vote for the Democrat. Then I started receiving attack ads in the mail from him against the current assembly member.

These ads were vicious and I think racist (Assembly member is Asian-American). Unflattering pictures of his face with a Trump wig and looking like a puppet. They turned me off so much, I voted for the incumbent. I hope it does't bite me in the ass after vowing not to vote for GOP

I'm going to let his campaign know how much these ads turned me off. If he loses by one vote (we're a dem-leaning purple district), he'll know why.
