My road to #Sustainability:
How I'm trying to reduce my impact in my everyday life.
A thread 👇

Note: This is a list I define as "work in progress". It doesn't mean I'm doing it perfectly, it means I'm trying my best.

This planet is our planet. We must change. #ClimateChange
DIET
I'm now fully #vegetarian. I was pescatarian for years, since 2014. This year I cut fish from my diet as well. Trying to reduce eggs & making sure I buy the free range ones.

Next step: Buying organic fruit&vegetables. Found this Irish website: https://greenearthorganics.ie
PLASTIC WASTE
No more:
- Disposable cups, KeepCup instead
- Plastic bottles, using a Chilly's bottle instead
- Plastic bags, I have 3 I keep re-using plus fabric bags
- Shampoo & shower gel bottles, I use soap bars instead
- No more plastic toothbrushes, bamboo ones instead
CLOTHING
No more compulsive buying. I've always loved style, so for years I was addicted to fast-fashion & to how quick I could get something nice looking & cheap. I've stopped. My wardrobe's full already. I only buy on occasions, vintage clothing too & no more Zara & Co.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES
I'm making sure I use what I have already. Not dying for new accessories, I make sure not to change my phone until it dies out. No more tiny little electronic accessories wrapped in plastic that seem cool for a second, but are useless after a while.
GENERAL WASTE
I make sure to divide my waste accordingly.

ELECTRICITY & GAS
I use washing machine/drier only at weekends.
Always turn off lights when not in a room.
Trying to be mindful about the heating system, 2 daily time frames, maximum 20°C
TO IMPROVE
I have no car, so often I get my groceries delivered. They sadly still come with LOADS of plastic wrapping almost every single item. As stated before, going to start ordering vegetables & fruit from https://greenearthorganics.ie  where products come plastic free.
What are your steps for sustainability? Is there anything you want to share to help me/us improve?
