i love vocaloid works that like, don't signal the fact they're vocaloid works? like when PVs use original non-voca characters or live-action film/photography, or when album artworks focus on graphic design rather than character art, etc
i guess just vocaloid work in general that strays from character art, or character-driven formatting/writing in general. works that just focus on creating a mood or tone that reflects the music and theme, not necessarily the "fandom" that you CAN invoke thru vocaloid
like these 4 stills come from VOCALOID PVs, but. you wouldn't guess that upon first glance
1. "Chikyuu wa Aoi" by Guiano
2. "ODDS&ENDS" by ryo
3. "Atatakai Ikimono" by Picon
4. "Nightscape" by R Sound Design
yeah the "ODDS&ENDS" PV features Miku but. well. the song is ABOUT Miku in a meta sense...i guess i also appreciate depictions of Miku that break from fandom convention? like Masataka's "EDEN" PV (song by ATOLS) sticks out to me
actually, vocaproducer ATOLS' PVs are typically like this with visually surreal non-character non-illustrated CGI PVs, check out "Wonderland" ft. Hatsune Miku
an off-vocal song by a vocaproducer, mameden's PV for Babuchan's "Re:Sin" is another one of my fav PVs
