I was charged with “Theft by deception” for accidentally cashing a bad check given to me my white employer. Despite resolving the issue privately with that employer and the white man who cashed it, I was arrested bc “the warrant was already in the system”.

After paying the ransom (Bond) to get outta jail, I was repeatedly brought to court by the State and each time they continued the case. I lost 2 jobs over this year long process bc I kept havin to leave town to make court dates. Finally, a few months ago, the charge was dismissed

It was clear that I had not broken the law or done anything wrong, and that was on record with the court. I naively thought it was over So when I got a job working for yet another white capitalist I was looking forward to rebuilding some kind of security. I have a family now

Yet here we are 2 months in, I’m meeting goals, preparing the for future, enjoying the job, not missing work or being late, and being the only person working there I know that actually needs the fucking money...n these niggas tell me I’m terminated for something on my background

Confused, I contact the the third party who does their Background Checks, and they tell me that this very same “Theft” charge makes me ineligible for employment. And niggas wonder why I have so much hate for this system and the people who uphold it
