This is the utterly endemic problem now- where trying to explain the origin of a problem is taken as 'justifying' it because it damages the fiction that all evil is ex nihilo https://twitter.com/Klenvastergan/status/1320711522465660933
The point isn't that 'men' are ultimately to blame for misandry, and in fact, this narrative in particular is what society has constructed in order to avoid examining its failure towards both women and men- that's the point
Because everything is interpreted through a lens of 'autobiographical sentiment', the explanation of a social phenomena is taken either as establishing blame or 'signal boosting a person's story'
Liberal feminists are unable to accept that there is a generation of traumatised men in the first place- they need it to be about 'understanding' the reasons misandrist rhetoric came abt in the first place, as if this cancels out the material result
But conversely, we also have to acknowledge that the misandrist rhetoric also has a material origin- even though I believe it was quickly weaponised by the media in an utterly cynical and socially complacent way
