Good morning and welcome to the final week of #EarlyVoting! Voting Centers are open until 7 p.m. today, but there are changes ahead! Rather than our usual GIF post, this is your thread for voting this week, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a voting newcomer. #HarrisVotes
Note the change in hours this week:
- Today and Friday are 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Tuesday-Thursday are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. at ALL locations.
- Also on Thursday, EIGHT locations will open at 7 a.m. and won’t close until 7 p.m. Friday. #HarrisVotes
We’re calling this 24-Hour Voting, though, yes, it is technically 36 straight hours of voting at these eight locations. The point is that these locations will be open overnight to serve shift workers. #HarrisVotes
Voters can vote at ANY of our 122 Voting Centers, which can be found along with their wait times at http://HarrisVotes.com/Locations . #HarrisVotes #VoteYOURWay
You only need one form of ID to vote. Your driver’s license works just fine, but there are other options. https://www.harrisvotes.com/VotingInfo?lang=en-US#IDs #HarrisVotes
Thanks to @METROHouston for offering free rides to and from polling locations today through Thursday and on Election Day. Visit http://RideMetro.com/Vote  for more information. #HarrisVotes
And thanks to @MoreThanAVote and @Lyft for offering a $15 discount to those dropping off Vote by Mail ballots to NRG Arena with the code HOUVOTE. Learn more at https://www.lyft.com/invite/HOUVOTE  #HarrisVotes
New for this year, we have added Drive-Thru Voting at 10 locations. They are for all voters to use. http://HarrisVotes.com/DTV  #HarrisVotes
More than one voter can be in one car. Each voter will be processed separately. #HarrisVotes
If you have a Vote by Mail ballot, please mail it ASAP or bring it to our Election Headquarters at NRG Park, Gate 9 (Gate 2 for pedestrians/bike/METRO). You must present your ID and a signature. You cannot deliver a ballot for someone else. #HarrisVotes
Track your Vote by Mail ballot at http://HarrisVotes.com/Tracking . Note: we recommend using a desktop browser. #HarrisVotes
If you no longer wish to Vote by Mail, but applied for a ballot, bring the ballot with you to vote and surrender it to the election clerk, then vote in-person at the location. #HarrisVotes
Each of our hundreds of Early Voting and Election Day locations has a Curbside Voting option for people with disabilities or those with limited mobility. See how that works here: #HarrisVotes
It is vital that we protect everyone’s health while voting, which is why we have implemented a rigorous sanitation and PPE plan for our election workers. We offer voters a sanitizing wipe and a finger cover as an additional safety precaution. #HarrisVotes
Straight-ticket/straight-party voting is no longer an option for voters. Your ballot will have 50+ races on it. Prepare to vote all the way down the ballot, which may take a few minutes. #HarrisVotes
We recommend printing out your sample ballot well before voting to research races and mark who you plan to vote for. You can take it with you into the voting booth. You cannot use your phone. http://HarrisVotes.com/SampleBallots  #HarrisVotes
Voter intimidation is not allowed inside or outside Voting Centers. If you have concerns, raise them with the officials at the Voting Center or call our Voter Helpline at 713-775-6965. #HarrisVotes
Voters are not permitted to wear clothing or masks that promote a candidate on the ballot. Phones are not to be used within 100 feet of a Voting Center. JUST DON’T DO IT! #HarrisVotes
Remember to tag us in your #IVoted selfies so that we can share them! Or your annoyed pets wearing your sticker, that’s good, too. #HarrisVotes
In closing, here is a GIF.
