My mum actually had me when she was 22 and my brother at 24. She didn't go to college, and worked as a clerk. She met my dad somewhere in her early 20s im not sure when. my mom worked as a general clerk when she was younger, and it was in kk but she lived in beaufort. https://twitter.com/arifhaynes/status/1310636951964274688
My mum complained to my dad that it was a hassle to always go to work without a car, so my dad pitched in and bought her this old datsun, my mum was happy, but the car broke down atleast twice every month on the way to or from work. One day my dad meluah sma my mum that he's sad-
That His friends has cars but he didn't and he needed to carpool all over the place. At the time being environmentally friendly wasn't a big deal and not having a car probably was kinda embarrassing. So my mum decided she wanted to get a car for my dad as a gift
So my mum got a loan and bought my dad his dream car a good ol 97 hilux. Now the problem was where to get the money to pay off the bank? So my mom made a side hustle and helped my dad make money on his rafting trips
So my mum started helping taking pictures of rafters when my dad goes rafting with the tourists Like this! That's my dad at the end of the raft, with the white helmet. This picture was taken in 2010, but the picture my mum used to take was sumthin like this.
So my mom took pictures and cuci them on the same day, then jual to the tourists the next day. There was one time she got rm500 in a single day ( that's about rm800 today) and she thought to herself "lumayan juga oh". She decided to quit her job, and helped my dad all the way.
Thus they started the company " Borneo Ultimate Sport Adventure Tour" shortened to BUSAT She decided she needed a computer so she could do her paperwork and other things. The office was in Wisma Sabah,
Fast forward abit I was born on 20 Nov 1999! Then it was then my mum kicked started her inner business women and pushed the company. My dad would always go outstation almost for weeks bringing foreigners to places like maliau basin, gunung Kinabalu.
For a solid 15 years (2008-2009 was kinda terrible almost no tourists were coming) business was doing good.
Here are some reviews of the company: https://vymaps.com/MY/Borneo-Ultimate-Sports-Adventure-Tours-Sdn-Bhd--3145262/
My dad was mentioned alot.

Until 2014, when the first waves of Chinese tourists started coming in.
My mum's tour company was a little niche for the current market at the time, and we were losing money, my mum made a mistake of not adapting to the trend. But then she followed a different trend. She started Zumba. She first followed a few classes, and was hooked on it
Fast forward some months she got an instructors license and started to do Zumba classes, she opened her own studio here in putatan! The money from the classes she made, put food on our table for the next 3 years. My mum is the lady in the white top, 1st row. 2nd pic-Leftmost side
My mum then picked up a new hobby, Baking. She started baking cakes literally almost everyday. This shows its never too late to pick up on a hobby. So she continued baking until one day, someone dmed her and asked if she could bake a cake. And from that day on, she baked cakes-
Almost non-stop. She was pushing it with the baking, i remember eating so much of her cake i was literally sick of her cakes at one point. But dont get me wrong they're delicious, but mual bro. She continued 3 different things at once, the tour company, Baking and the zumba
One day in 2016 the tour company wasnt making any money, in fact we are losing money just by opening it. We had to pay rent, we had to pay for the tour busses loan we had to pay this and that, so my mum decided its time to drop the office, she passed it on to someone else.
Now there's some Korean tour agency that sits there in Wisma Sabah. If you limpas2 sna ah take a look la, most of the pictures on the wall were taken by ourselves.
My mum was wondering where she could earn more money. So she turned to my grandparents for advice. My grandparents owned a restaurant in beaufort that was famous for pau among older bruneians. Its called Restoran Malaysia. My mum took this as an inspiration, and opened one more.
Here in putatan. We had a few bad reviews but im pretty sure it was one of THOSE customers, anyone in the FnB industry knows who I'm talking about.

My mum finally racked up enough money to send both me and my brother to College, and I'm really grateful for my parents. Yall might be thinking wheres my dad in this story, well he is in the back, always supporting my mum from behind the scenes, buying ingredients and all that,
If he ain't behind the scenes then he's prolly out there doing training. Or admiring his own picture in the dining room.
Now during this confusing mco, the restaurant is closed with all these cases surging up. And naturally my mom is still looking for that dough. She decided to sell more food! If you wanna support this amazing woman I call my mommy, you can always visit her Insta @bbieosignature
