BHRAMARI DEVI:- #THREAD

The six illustrious sons of Vaivasvat Manu started their tapasya near the Yamuna. They started their worship to Bhagwati. They strictly adhered to their worship of Maa Bhagwati Bhramari, controlling their breathing, with very frugal or no food.
They were blessed by Bhramari devi and ruled for thousands of years along with their coming generations. Similarly in the coming fourteen manvantars all the Manu's were devotees of Bhagwati and they too ruled for thousands of years.
So actually who is Bhramari devi and when did she appear on Prithvi first?

There was a very strong demon named Arun. He was always jealous of devtas and lived in Pataal lok. He decided that he would seek more power for himself. So he set about performing worship to Brahma.
He sat down for a deep tapasya and worshipped Brahma for thousands of Years with gayatri mantra. He sometimes drank only a drop of water, ate only wind and after sometime was reduced to bones. But his strong Tapa produced Agni from his body, whose heat started disturbing each
and everybody, it did not spare even the devtas.

The frightened devtas went to Brahmaji to get relief from the heat and the growing will power of the demon.

So Brahma appeared before the demon with ved in his hand and gayatri by his side and asked him what boon did he want.
Arun demon asked to grant him immortality. Brahma rejected this and asked him to ask for something different. Then Arun asked him to grant a boon that neither male nor female nor any weapon nor any 2 legged or 4 legged creature, nor any one standing or sitting could kill him.
Apart from this he also wanted more strength. He was granted his boon.

Arun now summoned the other demons from Pataal and sent a messenger to Devpuri to wage a war with devtas. The devtas went to Brahma and pleaded for help since the demon was stronger than devtas.
Brahma took them to Shivlok where the devtas narrated their woe's. Now Shiva too was worried. Just then an Akashvani declared and said that if they worshipped Bhagwati mata your work would be done. But you have to desist the demon from performing the gayatri yagya.
The devtas were quick in their action. They sent Brahaspati to dissuade the demon from doing Gayatri jaap and all of them sat down to worship Bhagwati.

Brahaspati went to the demon who was surprised to find a devta in his presence. He asked Brahaspati the purpose of his visit.
The Devguru replied that since both devtas and the demon have equal faith in Gayatri they were compalimentary to each other and belonged to the same league. Hearing this the demon immediately stopped his Gayatri jaap and eventually lost his powers.
Brahaspati returned and narrated everything to Indra, who then performed his aradhna more devotedly. After some time and years mata Bhagwati appeared with a strange thing in her fist. This was the bhramar or brumble bee flying around.

The devtas were overjoyed.
They paid their respects to her in Obeisance and sang her praises in many ways.
She asked the devtas as to what boon did they want, so the devtas pleaded her to destroy the demons especially Arun who had become invincible due to Brahma's boon.
Immediately Mata released the Bhramars from her fist. These bees multipied themselves into millions. These bees then attacked the demons with their poisonous bites and eliminated each and every demon around. After the task was over, the Devi blessed the devtas and disappeared.
Due to her appearance in the Bhramar form, she is called Bhramari devi.
