We found:
- Small improvements to some aspects of mental health
- No evidence of harm to mental health
- A need for high-quality, transparently reported RCTs measuring a range of mental health outcomes over longer durations to strengthen the evidence base

There is good evidence of the effects of weight management interventions on physical health, but there are comparatively very few trials measuring and transparently reporting mental health outcomes.

(3/5)
Although we found no evidence of harm to mental health, the review assessed average effects, and it's likely this isn't the case for all participants.

It is vital that we can identify those who are at risk of harm, so appropriate and effective support can be implemented.
