got the week off work so my latest bright idea is to try 6 days of 60 minutes meditation. kind of like a test run for Naval’s 60 days thing..
first day done.. hardest thing was sitting comfortably for all that time.. other than that I feel good on it.. nice way to start the day..
2/6 hardest thing is still sitting comfortably. probably wasn’t the best idea to take this on while my front room looks like this.. but I’m a third of the way through now so no turning back!
apart from a float tank I feel like the kind of seats you get on a plane/ train would possibly be the best suited to an hours meditation.
I was on a long bus journey in Vietnam and a Buddhist monk behind us spent the whole time meditating. always struck me as very profound but maybe he’d just found himself the ideal chair type.
3/6 filled the bath with Epsom salts to create a kind of poor man’s float tank in an effort to tackle the comfort issue.. this is getting a bit far fetched now, I think I should have just waited until my living room was done
4/6 pushed a yoga bolster against the wall (yes I own a yoga bolster and yes this is the first practical use I’ve ever had for it).. worked pretty well as a seat.. best effort since day 1
5/6 even I’m getting tired of this thread now.. the good news is that it’ll all be over tomorrow
