PROVERBS 11v11-13 NLT-

"...Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time".

This is fairly straightforward to understand. Seek to gain wealth through hard work, over a period of time... /1

Because short term wealth never lasts.

Secular proverbs such as 'easy come, easy go' testify in agreement.

Consider for example the following graph of Warren Buffets wealth. His wealth has grown exponentially over time. /2

Buffet is merely an example, used for the purpose of illustrating the principle. His net worth is freely available and most people are familiar with who he is.

So let's commit ourselves to the long haul, rather than seeking short term wealth.
