i hate how we can’t talk about Korean rappers against western rappers without it being seen as a joke because they are lumped in with kpop. some of these rappers can run circles around people in the west but they will never get the recognition because they don’t rap in english

like not even about preferences i’m talking about beats and lyrics what bts did with ddaeng and the word plays was lyrical genius but they will never get recognised for that because it’s “kpop”

like i should be able to mention kendrick and yoongi in the same sentence and have the same discussion without it being dismissed because one doesn’t do it in english
