It all started in a garage. (The inevitable cliché 🤷‍♀️)

It was 2010 and we started with a mission to streamline local ojek (motorcycle taxi) services.

The hustle had begun. 🖖
We also had many side missions.

Notice the carton boxes? They were filled with wedding cards. We were distributing them across Jakarta at the request of many to-be-weds😂

We did a lot of #PastiAdaJalan - dropping children off, fetching concert tickets for our customers, et all.
We reached 100 orders. 🎉
A picture that reminds us of where it all began...🙏

We do more than 200 million orders a month now. 🔥
Our second office had a leaky ceiling and the entire floor was flooded. We had to pile tables on each other and save our computers, while continuing to work.

Having a roof over the head was getting too literal. 😂
An excel sheet managed all our bookings.

We'd get orders through calls, SMS, Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo messenger, BBM, emails, or any other mode of communication available. 📞

(Checking if there were pigeons involved, we'll get back on this.)
In 2012, we did something crazy (we always do, but this deserves a separate tweet).

We gave a 1190 km ojek ride to a customer, from Jakarta to Ubud, Bali. 🥰

4 days on the road - for media traction and publicity. 🛵
2015. The year we actually 'launched' - the year we finally had an app.
We did 3 things and did them one way or the other.

Simple.
Quick.

But we failed more times than we can count. 🥺
2011:
Training 4 driver partners.

2016:
Hiring a stadium to onboard more than 50,000 driver partners.

We. Had. Arrived. 🖖
1.5 years from an app to a unicorn. 🦄

< 3 years to a decacorn. 😎🚀
It's been a fruitful decade. 🖖

We're now a #SuperApp with 20+ products, and a verb in Southeast Asia. Thank you for the love. 💚
