Reflections of a TA - Week 3

This week was filled with energy! We had 3 guest lectures and a redefined way of storytelling in classrooms! Countless takeaways from 8 classes in 5 days.

What better than entrepreneurship & leadership being taught by entrepreneurs & leaders?
We started off with a guest lecture by Mr @talaalburny who is not only a seasoned entrepreneur but someone with a creative surplus. His work at @CareemPAK speaks for itself. He was sharing his journey with our students and discussing how to make your mark in an organization.
Next up we had Mr Moeez Javed, CEO & founder at @shopooapp. He has also appeared on @IdeaCroronKa_ & since then grown at a steady pace. He shared the ground realities of starting something from scratch & had some sound insight on what it takes to be a founder.
Towards the closing, he & @nabeelaq discussed the grit of founders and how he was always cut out to make his way in this space.

Such discussions are imperative for students to witness relationship management, respect and understand what it takes to build something alone.
Then we had a fantastic session by Mr @faizanlaghari, which was definitely the most energetic guest lecture we have had (he might have even sold them socks at one point 😄).

His take on 'FAILURE' helped the students put a lot of our discussions in perspective.
At one point @faizanlaghari shared a slide with many logos & said there are many projects in here that I started but they never saw daylight. It left a mark. This was a session designed candidly to help young people take away as much as they could from his journey of experiences.
We are very thankful to our guest speakers for so openly sharing their learnings and also answering all questions that came their way with such clarity.
ps: we are quite sure you got asked some of the best questions from this lot! 🙌

@faizanlaghari @talaalburny @shopooapp
In our entrepreneurship class at @BNULahore, @nabeelaq shared a memorable experience from his days at @UniStrathclyde. The management activity in the middle of the sea was one to remember & it was communicated with precision!

4 key lessons were taught by the end.
Lesson 1: You all have your own way of problem-solving. Never copy others.
Lesson 2: You've to be empathetic. Responsibility comes from empathy.
Lesson 3: Be accountable. What did you do? What did you contribute?
Lesson 4: Bring in humility. Be selfless. Earn respect.

@nabeelaq
To end, we discussed in depth what it takes to go from Awareness to Impact and the power of Reflection which will be further discussed in detail.

'You can't lead a life of impact without having found yourself.' - @nabeelaq

Looking forward to what all we will learn this week!
