I'm going to be doing little threads explaining each of my long-term stories over the next few days using the tag #DigitalDreamsStorySummaries. First and foremost, I want to introduce all of you in detail to my Ace Attorney inspired series, Morix! (Thread below)
What is Morix?
Morix is an original story that I first started writing in April of 2015. It started out as a submit your own character story on Wattpad under the name of "Quiet after the Hurricane". Through Morix's characters, I was able to meet a group of three close friends.
Morix was set in an alternate universe from Ace Attorney's canon, revolving around Morix Law Offices and the lawyers who worked there. The universe was refined in the past few years with the help of my good friends and notable contributors (Ace, Hatty, Shiny, and Phoenix).
The series received a reboot a few years ago, switching from the original writing style into something far more refined thanks to the years of world building. As of now, I'm working on the third book in the series, "Web of Mistrust".
The story revolves around the interactions of the lawyers at Morix Law Offices with a spy known as Oracle. The first book, "Quiet after the Hurricane", focuses on uncovering the true identity of the spy and determining how they fit in with an assassin group known as Occisor.
Subsequent entries of the series explore the aftermath of Oracle's reveal. "Secrets beneath Secrets" shows the agency expanding and its resulting consequences. "Web of Mistrust" is about finding the truth behind a vital figure who went missing years prior.
Morix has been a huge part of my life for the past five years, and it's allowed me to get closer to some of the most amazing people I've ever come into contact with. The story has been fine-tuned to a science over the years, and I'm incredibly proud of how it's turning out.
Morix is updated on Thursdays weekly with chapters that are 5,000 words in length. The stories within the series can be found linked below for anyone curious about checking them out.
I hope the series piques your interest, and I'd greatly appreciate if you checked it out!
