Hi, I'm not sure if you guys are aware of the witch hunt going on in Instagram, basically they are reporting and taking down manhwa_related accs or accs that are translating or giving bits of spoilers on Instagram. They are also gonna sue websites ( I won't name any)

But websites that translates manhwa for international readers. And I'm against it, I love manhwa and there are a lot of international fans that don't understand Korean to read it. They are missing out and unable to read the work the authors create.

As for money, what's the reason you even started all of this? To become rich and known? Or is it because you have so much ideas and things in your head that you want to share because you feel that its too good not to be shared.

I'm a failure whom can't master Korean, or have the determination in me to do anything. The websites gives a platform for the translators to translate to reach to a further audience

I'm done now, I've said most of the things I want to say. So if you want to attack me you can go ahead. And if you want to support me you can retweet this thread. And spread the words. The target of the witch hunt shouldn't be manhwa accs but witch hunters.

I understand why the authors are mad about it but some part of me don't understand, doesnt authors want people to read their work? To spread their work? To give happiness to people with their work? The reason why people are sharing it, is to share the joy.

If no one translate their work, I don't think manhwa would be as popular as it is today. If no one translate their work... People whom want to read it.. Can't.. And people whom don't know about it, are missing out on it

I know its illegal, I know that authors won't make as much money. But is it all about money? Are you mad because your hard work is "stolen"? Your work isn't stolen, people know who the author is and people thank you for your work.

Before you come after me for being selfish, yes I'm selfish, I just like the world and feelings manhwa gives me. I feel refreshed reading manhwas, I feel like I'm the character I'm reading, I feel connected to them that I even feel pain and happiness for them.

I'm not just walking in the characters shoes, I become them walking in my own shoes, even if its just for a few mins, even if its just for a chapter. Its my own vr, the ones in my head, the ones I'm able to experience because of manhwa. The work the authors create.

Most translators, don't even earn any or much money. They are doing it because like I've mentioned before. The work is too good not to be shared. They are using their free time to spread the words to everyone globally.
